Nymphaea candida (Dwarf White Water Lily)

Nymphaea candida or Dwarf White Water Lily is a species of aquatic perennial herbaceous plants in the genus Nymphaea native to quiet freshwater habitats in Eurasia, it is in flower from July to August. The white cup-shaped flowers 10cm across have yellow stamens and crimson stigmas. This northern European native is compact enough for small pond.

Sow seeds in a greenhouse in pots submerged under 25mm of water. Prick out into individual pots as soon as the first true leaf appears and grow them on in water in a greenhouse for at least two years before planting them out in late spring.
