Armeria Anna Maria

Armeria Anna Maria

A real stunner for borders or containers, this is a fabulous first-year flowering mix of red, lilac and white dwarf sea thrift. Armeria Anna Maria produces a compact cushion of foliage from which spring long, strong stems topped with pretty globe-shaped blooms. Height 30cm.

Sow armeria seeds from late March to May at 16-18C, on the surface of a good quality seed compost. Cover with a very light sprinkling of compost or vermiculate and keep the soil damp but not wet. Place in a propagator or seal the seed tray inside a polythene bag until after germination, which usually takes 14-21 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow them on in cooler conditions until large enough to plant outdoors.
