Strawberry Regina
[0.1 gram]

Strawberry Regina

Regina's shiny, biconical bright red berries are a lovely sight in the garden. Berries stay around the same size, from July to October. Everbearing, vigorous plants are easy to grow, and keep attractive through the season. Berries are easy to pick, with the calyx breaking easily from the fruit stem.

Sow January to April. Sow seed on the surface of a good seed compost and lightly cover the seed with a sprinkling of vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag at a warm temperature of 15-21C until germination which can be up to 30 days. Stratification of 3-5C during 1-2 months in a dark place helps germination.
